Home Offices Become An Necessity To Homeowners

Now that more people are working from home it is important for a homeowner to have designated space for a home office. The Boston Globe found that a “recent survey on home design trends published by the American Institute of Architects says that the home office has become one of the most popular projects requested now by clients: Some 70 percent of home renovation plans include space for a home office or study of some kind.”

Recently our very own Ana Donohue was featured in the Boston Globe discussing just that topic in “How to create a cozy home office.” Ana created a home office for her clients that incorporated some really great design elements. Like a 62-inch glass-topped desk that her clients could share and an authentic cowhide rug. French doors were used so that it wouldn’t feel closed off from the rest of the house.

“The homeowners use the room more than any other one in the house,” says Ana, “and that’s really nice because it was previously a completely unutilized space.”
