We saw a lot of plaid on the runway during Fashion Week and we are expecting that it will soon make a comeback in the interior design world as well.

Plaid has gone through quite a transformation in recent years. Although it can still be found in a more traditional style (think a Scottish Tartan) it has recently emerged as a contemporary look that will surely add some interest to your home decor.

British designer Vivienne Westwood has taken plaid to a whole new level with her wallcovering line for Cole and Son.

If you are looking for a more toned down look for your wallpaper try a more collegiate plaid like the one featured in Veranda.

We have to agree with Apartment Therapy, this next look is a perfect juxtaposition between modern furnishings and the traditional, preppy plaid.

If wallpapering your home in plaid is a little too design forward for you try adding some pillows and throws, or even pumpkins, especially for fall.
